Step 1 - chain 5 and join with a slip stitch |
Single crochet x 7 into ring join with slip stitch |
Create chain spaces |

How to crochet a Wagon Wheel Flower
US crochet pattern.
Step 1: Chain 5 and join with slip stitch in first chain stitch to make a circle.Step 2: Single crochet x 7 into center ring and join with a slip stitch.
Step 3: Chain 6
Skip 1 stitch
Double Crochet into next chain stitch
Chain 3
Skip 1
Double Crochet into next chain stitch
Around
Join to 3rd chain stitch of starting chain6 - pull up the loop and remove your hook
This gives you 6 long chain spaces -
Step 5: Double crochet 10 times in that space. Slip stitch in the same space to complete the petal. Pull up the loop and remove hook. If you want larger petals increase the number of double crochets.
Step 6: Find the next post between chain spaces. Fold the rest of the work down at the back and take up the loop and pull it through the space. 10 x dc and 1 slip stitch.
Continue all the way round.
Finish off by cutting your yarn and pulling the end through the last stitch. Sew in the tails.
UK Crochet Pattern Wagon Wheel Flower
1. Chain 5 and join with slip stitch in first chain stitch to make a circle.
2. Double crochet x 7 into the centre ring.
3. Chain 6
Skip 1 stitch
Triple Crochet into next chain stitch
Chain 3
Skip 1
Triple Crochet into next chain stitch
Around
Join to 3rd chain stitch of starting chain6 - pull up the loop and remove your hook
This gives you 6 long chain spaces -
4. Put your hook through the post created at the start of the first chain space -
5. Take up the loop and pull it through the space. It is easier if you fold your work in half down the back as you pull through, it gives you a clearer idea of where you are going to work now.
6. Triple crochet 10 times in that space. Slip stitch in the same space to complete the petal. Pull up the loop and remove hook. If you want larger petals increase the number of triple crochets.
7. Find the next post between chain spaces. Fold the rest of the work down at the back and take up the loop and pull it through the space. 10 x dc and 1 slip stitch.
Continue all the way round. Finish off.
